It is also extremely important to us to provide these services in a comfortable and safe environment. We offer several different anxiety and stress eliminating options to ensure complete patient comfort throughout the entire treatment process.
We provide many types of comprehensive restorative and aesthetic dental procedures including:

When natural teeth are missing or are not able to be saved, the quality of life can often be improved and enhanced with the integration of dental implants and implant-retained teeth. Aesthetically pleasing replacement teeth that not only look, but also feel and function like natural teeth, can be fabricated and custom-fit to accommodate different types of dental implants. These may be single-tooth implants, or a series of implants to replace multiple missing teeth, followed by the fabrication of dentures or partial dentures that fit over the implants. There are also options for “fixed” restorations for multiple implants; these prosthetics are a more permanent solution and are not removable by the patient.
Dr. Ickert performs the surgical placement of the implants after determining the best treatment option for each patient. There is also significant communication with the referring dentist in order to achieve the highest level of function and aesthetics.

The underlying bone provides the foundation for the overlying gum tissue. This combination is the foundation for the support of dental implants and is critical for the longevity, functionality, and aesthetics of the final outcome.
Dr. Ickert is highly trained in all aspects of surgical dentistry including the latest and most conservative techniques, which are highly effective in restoring both the boney and soft tissue foundation. By following the key biological and aesthetic principles that Dr. Ickert's practice is founded upon, excellent treatment outcomes can be achieved.

For patients that are born with severe dental deformities or who experience loss of dental structures as a result of traumatic injuries, more extensive reconstruction may be required. These patients often require facial plastic surgery, jaw surgery, bone or soft tissue grafting, orthodontics, or dental implants. This type of extensive reconstruction requires an interdisciplinary approach to solve these very complex issues.
Dr. Ickert provides all of the tooth restoration needs, and performs many of the surgical procedures required. He also coordinates the services of all of the other dental disciplines, including orthodontists, oral surgeons, endodontists, and periodontists, as well as the referring individual's general practitioners, to ensure an exceptional comprehensive treatment result.

Veneers are custom-made, custom-fitted, very thin pieces of porcelain that are bonded to your natural teeth. Veneers are an excellent way to correct minor tooth anomalies such as chipped, stained, or discoloured teeth. They are also effective when it is necessary to alter the length or size of the teeth with minimized risk to your natural tooth structure.
The procedure can usually be accomplished in two appointments. At the first appointment, the teeth will be prepared. This is a matter of taking away a small amount of tooth structure, shaping the teeth, and taking an impression of the prepared teeth. The impression is then sent to a specialized laboratory where the veneers are handcrafted by technicians whose art and skill is creating restorations that look and feel like natural teeth.
Dr. Ickert will also take digital photographs of your teeth to accurately communicate the colour to the laboratory. In addition, Dr. Ickert will fabricate acrylic provisional veneers, which will be temporarily cemented in place for approximately three weeks while the laboratory fabricates the final restorations. Not only are these a temporary aesthetic solution, they are also fabricated to help communicate the new size, shape, and form of the teeth. At the second appointment, your new veneers will be bonded into place and your new smile will be completed.

A denture or partial denture is a removable replacement for missing teeth. Dentures are usually fabricated from acrylic materials, but may occasionally incorporate the use of other materials. There are also several types of dentures that can be fabricated to fit over implant fixtures. (See Implant Dentistry). A custom-made, properly fit denture or partial denture, can be completely inconspicuous and natural looking, and should be comfortable for chewing, as well as allowing for normal speech.
Dr. Ickert understands that a denture is never an equal replacement for your natural teeth. However, with artistry and skill, along with understanding the balance between function and aesthetics, dentures and partial dentures can achieve an excellent result. This knowledge, combined with the latest technology, is further enhanced by using a dental laboratory or combination of laboratories, to fabricate each patient’s denture.
It typically takes a series of appointments to complete a denture or partial denture. In addition to any appointment time with Dr. Ickert, patients should allow adequate time in between each appointment to provide the laboratory with time for precision fabrication. The number of necessary appointments may vary from patient to patient, depending on each individual needs and types of removable dentures being fabricated.
*Dr. Ickert limits the fabrication of dentures and partial dentures to patients who are undergoing comprehensive treatment.

Dr. Ickert provides a majority of all surgical services required to remove teeth. This includes the removal of teeth as part of an overall reconstructive plan, as well as the extraction of wisdom teeth for functional and health reasons.
